Popular Paint and Stain Cabinet Combinations
While a single color kitchen remains a classic, timeless look, we;re seeing a large number of kitchens built with more than one paint or stain color.
Some of Burrows Cabinets’ most popular cabinet combinations right now include our Bone warm white paint on perimeter cabinets and a complimentary stained wood on the island.
We’re also seeing more pairings of painted uppers and stained base cabinets or painted base and stained uppers. Typically the darker color is used on the base to ground the space and a lighter color is used on the upper.
Bone white is a great neutral and pairs well with most of our stain and paint colors. Extra White, our pure, bright White paint color is another popular upper color, paired with darker paint or stained base cabinets.
Below are a few cabinet door examples to show you how Bone looks with complimentary paint and stain colors:
Other popular cabinet combinations include Extra White with our Naval, Saba, Bistre and Brue paint colors for contrast and visual interest.
In our EVRGRN materials, popular combinations include Luxe white paired with Bistre, Reveur or Laurent.
Our Saba deep green paint option pairs beautifully with Maple Savaii as shown below.

A new trend that is starting to emerge is pairing black painted cabinets with wood stained cabinets in combinations like Burrows Cabinets Breu and Clear Alder Bali shown below.
